  • What's the difference between a dentist and an orthodontist?

Orthodontists are dentists who have completed additional specialized training. While dentists focus on general care, orthodontists specialize in straightening teeth and jaw alignment. If you're looking for orthodontists in Washington, UT and St. George, UT for specialized care, call our team today.
  • At what age should my child see an orthodontist?

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first check-up by age seven. Early visits don't mean your child will need braces immediately. It allows our orthodontists in Washington, UT and St. George, UT to monitor growth and determine when treatment is needed.
  • Can adults see an orthodontist?

Absolutely! Healthy teeth can move at any age. In our experience, one in four adults needs orthodontic treatment. Our orthodontists in Washington, UT and St. George, UT offer several options, including braces and clear aligners.
  • How long does treatment take?

In our expert experience, most treatments take 18 to 24 months, depending on severity and patient cooperation. Our orthodontists in Washington, UT and St. George, UT will give you an estimated time frame at your free consultation. Get in touch with Call Orthodontics today.
  • What foods should I avoid with braces?

Avoid sticky, hard, or crunchy foods such as gum, caramel, ice, and popcorn kernels. Crunchy foods can be cut into smaller pieces to make them more manageable. Our orthodontists in Washington, UT and St. George, UT also recommend avoiding habits like biting your fingernails.
  • How do clear aligners compare with braces?

Clear aligners are removable and nearly invisible, making hygiene and eating potentially easier. Braces are fixed and usually better for more complicated cases. We will recommend the best option for meeting your goals. If you're looking for orthodontists in Washington, UT or St. George, UT, call us today!
  • Do I have to wear a clear aligner after braces?

Yes, retainers keep teeth from drifting. Wearing your aligner is the key to keeping your smile long-term. For more information, contact our orthodontists in Washington, UT and St. George, UT today.
  • Do braces hurt?

You may feel pressure or soreness for a day or two after adjustments. Our orthodontists in Washington, UT and St. George, UT recommend soft food and over-the-counter pain medication to help manage.
  • Will insurance help pay for braces or clear aligners?

Many dental plans include orthodontic benefits. Our orthodontists in Washington, UT and St. George, UT will help verify coverage, explain costs, and help set up a payment plan to obtain treatment.
  • Can I get treatment if I've had braces before?

Yes! Teeth can shift over time, especially without a retainer. We treat cases like this all the time, and they are usually shorter treatments. If you're looking for orthodontists in Washington, UT and St. George, UT, get in touch with Call Orthodontics today.
